Gavin Creel Has Passed Away

 

Gavin Creel, who played Nick Piazza in the 1998 national tour of Fame: The Musical after graduating from college, passed away today (September 30, 2024) in New York City. Creel was diagnosed with metastatic melanotic peripheral nerve sheath sarcoma, a rare form of cancer, in July 2024.

RIP Gavin.

We're Still Here - (Broadway)

 

Here is a cute video from March 2021 featuring Broadway stars singing "We're Still Here" that took place during the pandemic. Featured in the video are two former stars from two versions of Fame. Christopher J. Hanke, who played Nick Piazza in Fame on 42nd Street and Michael Cerveris, who played Ian Ware in the last season of the Fame TV series.
